"35 by 35" and Climate Neutrality Ambition

In October, 2021, Linde announced a new GHG reduction target for 2035 and our 2050 climate neutrality ambition. These targets reflect Linde’s alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement, and SBTi has validated Linde’s 2035 target as a science-based target.

Linde’s “35 by 35” target is to achieve a 35 percent absolute reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035. The scope is all Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for Linde globally. Linde's 2021 (baseline) Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were 39 MM MT CO₂e. The target for 2035 is 26 MM MT CO₂e. Linde’s commitment is underpinned by strong policy and regulatory support.
